SunTek Advantages
SunTek Window
Films are made with CS (color stable) dyes and/or micro-thin layers of
metals. These CS dyes and metals are embedded into the window film
during the manufacturing process to reduce the amount of the incoming
sun's heat and glare through window glass. With SunTek window film,
you'll be more comfortable and notice reduced energy costs throughout
the year. This film also adds privacy
Adds Privacy and Enhanced Appeal
The CS dyes and metals used in SunTek Window Films also add a level of
privacy to a home, storefront, office or motor vehicle. The shade of
the film makes it more difficult to see through glass treated with
window film. In addition, window film is available in a range of shades
that can be selected to enhance the exterior appearance of any home,
building or motor vehicle.
Reduces Property Damage Caused by Fading
SunTek Window Films also block out virtually all of the sun's damaging
ultraviolet radiation-between 95 and 99 percent. These UV rays, coupled
with the sun's heat, are the primary causes of color fading in floors,
carpets, furnishings, merchandise and vehicle interiors. With SunTek
Window Film, valuable property and possessions stay looking new longer.
This is what can happen after just 3 years of sun shining through
untreated windows on hardwood floors.
Protection for Skin
UV radiation contributes to premature aging, wrinkles, skin disorders
and, more deadly still, skin cancer. But with SunTek treated glass in
your home, storefront, office or motor vehicle, these risks are reduced
thanks to window film's UV blocking power.
How Does does window tinting help in the summer?
Window film helps
keep the intense sunshine out during the hot summer months. Its hot outside
already. You don't need any help. But those clear windows are letting
the sun shine straight in right onto your favorite cabinet, tv, couch,
carpet, (you get the idea)...
So now not only is it hot outside, but the sun is heating things up
inside as well, great. That's where window film comes in. By placing
window film on your windows, you are essentially filtering what comes
through. Stopping 99% of the UV rays because, what do you need them
for? and somewhere around 50-60% of IR (low frequency light, below what
you can see, the part of the sun you feel), you cooking something on
that cabinet? Of course not. And controlling the visible light so that
the glare is gone making the view pleasant looking out the window. All
this while also reducing your overall heat coming in somewhere between
50-80% depending on shade and type of film and/or type of window.
How Does window tinting help in cooler weather?
Window film helps
keep the intense UV out during the cold winter months and helps reduce
your home heating costs. Since glass is a conductor of heat, glass will
stay cold during the winter months even as you run the heater day in
and day out trying to keep your rooms warm. Because heat is attracted
to cold, as you pump hot air into your room it is attracted to the cold
windows and out the window your hot air and money goes. But with window
film, during the day when the sun is shining, window film is absorbing
the sunshine and thus the windows are warm. Now there are no cold
windows to attract the hot air so the heater fills the room and
actually shuts off... OFF = no $$
Note, the
earth is actually closer to the sun during the winter months. Many
people open their windows to let in sunshine to help warm their home.
Unfortunately, being closer to the sun means more solar radiation and
more damage to the home, this again is where window film comes in with
99% UV protection. |
